Envirosight has announced a new accessory kit that doubles the field of view for its patented QuickView zoom inspection camera, allowing it to inspect all up-close targets like manhole walls, vessels and tank interiors.
The new Wide-Angle Inspection Kit consists of a wide-angle lens and lamp diffuser. The wide-angle lens replaces the front cap of the QuickView, doubling the camera’s field of view throughout its zoom range. For instance, at minimum zoom the QuickView can view 4 ft2 of a surface 2 ft away, but with the wide angle lens it can view 16 ft2. The accessory installs in seconds with no tools, and without compromising QuickView’s 150’ submersion rating. QuickView lamps are focused to a narrow 6-degree beam for viewing deep within pipelines, but the lamp diffuser supplied with the accessory kit spreads that beam for broad, even illumination of foreground targets. Made of molded plastic, it simply press-fits onto the bezel of QuickView’s primary lamp. “QuickView has always been about performing a rapid, inexpensive survey of underground infrastructure,” said Richard Lindner, president of Envirosight. “With the Wide-Angle Inspection Kit, QuickView is no longer limited to pipelines. It can inspect the interior condition of any manhole, vessel or other confined space.” The accessory kit is compatible with all versions of QuickView. About QuickView.
